Our Tradition
Du Funny is a southern-style relish recipe that originated in Tuskegee, AL and it has been passed down from generation to generation. This tangy, yet sweet topping can be enjoyed on all sorts of meats including, hotdogs, brats, polish sausages, hamburgers, pork chops, and much more. The original recipe was created by my late grandmother, Johnnie Bell Robinson and quickly became one of my family’s favorite kitchen staples. After my grandmother passed, my Aunt Shirley carried the recipe on for the younger generations to enjoy.
Du Funny is always on the table at every Robinson family gathering including: holidays, birthdays, Super Bowl parties, graduations, back yard barbeques, and traditional Sunday Dinners. This flavorful recipe, with its unique blend of mustard, ketchup, sauerkraut, pickles, and onions, is certain to impress anyone. You’ll never reach for boring ketchup and mustard again!
My grandmother called this relish Du Funny and the “funny” thing is, we still don’t know why. It has always been a dream of mine to share this amazing, all-in-one condiment with the world because of its unique and flavorful taste.
